Dallas Police officer Amber Guyger shot and killed Botham Jean in his own apartment. Jean is from St Lucia. He is a college graduate, a professional, and was well thought of in the community.  Guyger claimed she thought she was in her apartment. This is a blatant and outrageous use of deadly force against an unarmed Black man. The initial report was that Guyger would be charged with manslaughter in the killing.

Days after the shooting there have been no formal charges filed against her. This is not justice. This is an outrage and the time delay in charges being brought fits the continual pattern of deadly shootings of unarmed Black men with no penalty for the officer. 

Add your voice to the fight against police abuse and for racial justice by demanding that Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson file immediate manslaughter charges against Guyger.
