The Issue

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck , LAPD Lieutenant Craig Lally has taken to his official blog as the president of the Los Angeles Police Protective League to taunt the mother of Ezell Ford and to denigrate Ezell's memory. Ezell Ford was  a young, mentally ill man killed by the LAPD in 2014. The loss of a child is unimaginable. The constant "in your face" disrespect shown to the mother and family of Ezell Ford is unconscionable and Lt. Craig Lally should be held accountable.  This type of bullying and taunting is unprofessional. Lt. Lally should not be allowed to continue to use this platform to strike back at the family because he and the "union" he represents are in opposition with the rulings of an independent Police Commission on the "out of policy" shooting of Ezell Ford. Chief Beck, initiate a personnel investigation against  Lt. Lally for CUBO- Conduct Unbecoming a Police Officer.

Please sign this petition to compel Chief Charlie beck to take action and cease the harassment of the Ford family. They have suffered enough.
