Dear All. We just wanted to let you know we’ve just passed 10,624 signatures on our petition. Along with your support, CBS local news reported on our petition. Progress to-date:
- Law enforcement directed their efforts to reduce speeding by positioning 2-3 motor officers at Los Coyotes Diagonal and Deborah Street.
- Public Works trimmed back tree branches to make traffic signs more visible.
Thank you so much for your support thus far. We hope to see the remaining two requests (pedestrian-activated traffic light and additional street lighting) efforted.
The death of our 16-year old son, Aiden, has traumatized our family, his friends, and our community. If we could, we would move mountains to bring him back to us. The only mountain we can move now is one for community-empowered change. Thank you for honoring our son's death and the loss of countless lives that have been impacted by these traffic fatalities; these are preventable.
Will you please help us get more support by sharing this petition with 10-12 other people? Here’s a link to share https://www.change.org/p/long-beach-city-council-members-aiden-our-son-was-killed-by-a-drunk-driver-protect-kids-w-traffic-light-enforcement
Your kindness and compassion mean a lot to us, and we thank you for your continued support.
Lily, Greg, and Luke Gossage (Aiden's mom, dad, and little brother)
