Dear fellow resident,

Tomorrow you have an opportunity to vote for a better future for Newham. The Mayoral system places too much power in the hands of one person and leads to poor decision making. We firmly believe the parking tax would not have been introduced if there wasn’t a Mayor; the majority of councillors wrote a letter requesting for it to be paused and reviewed. This was refused by Mayor Fiaz.

Newham deserves a better future with decision making made by groups of elected officials, not power obsessed individuals. So please have your democratic say, tomorrow May 6th vote committee in the referendum. It’s time for change.
