Speed bumps/ sign posted speed limits/children crossing

The Issue

Speeding along Somerset Avenue Dursley has become that much of a problem that our pets are being run over and killed.... That could easily be a child with it being right next to the school and a common route for people walking to and from the school. There's no signed speed limit, no sign to say children are crossing.... This needs to change. No one needs to suffer the pain me and my family have been through tonight, not oy witnessing the death of our beloved cat due to a speeding car but having to Bury her also. I believe speed bumps along this road will dramatically reduce the number of animal deaths and potentially save many human lives also. At the very least some speed limit signs and child crossing signs. Please help me make this happen, not just for my sake, not just for the loss of my beloved poppy cat but for the residents and wider community. Not every driver has the common sense required to slow down.
