Feels Like Home

Have you ever walked into a store, a portal of sorts, that instantly teleported you to a safe, familiar place, with a feeling of home?

For many Asian Canadian families that place is T&T Supermarket.

If comfort food like moms meatloaf or mac and cheese was a supermarket, it would be the T&T Supermarket.

However, it is much more than a grocery store where you can find affordable groceries, prepared sushi rolls, roasted duck, pork and chicken, dim-sum ready to munch on, rate cuts of meat, fresh live fish, tropical fruit, 50 flavours of pocky sticks, rice crackers galore, organic foods, hormone/antibiotic free meats, sauces, sauces, sauces, Taiwanese Sticky Rice Rolls (YUM), and much more.

Best of all, the prices are low, $20 will have you going home with groceries and snacks.

With that said, you certainly do not have to be Asian to enjoy going to the T&T Supermarket, who doesn't like low prices and yummy foods?

Walking into a T&T is a cultural experience, brings the community together, and provides the many international students studying in Halifax, as well as the many immigrant families with a portal where they can go and have a little taste of home.
