Dear all, 

We email you this morning with an urgent update...

We are told that, this week, the hoarding will go up around the park and public access will shortly be denied. It also appears our bird boxes have been removed over the last few days in preparation for the destruction of our park. We do not have time to lose! They are moving fast and so must we! 

Therefore, we are asking for donations to seek a judicial review of Liverpool City Council's decision to destroy the park

We are seeking some initial legal advice and if this were to progress, we would require the money for legal fees - this is what any donations would be used for.

This Campaign (Save Bixteth Park) brings together local groups, (Save Bixteth Gardens, Liverpool CPRE, Friends of the Parkland) as well as several residents (Bixteth Street Residents, Hamilton House Residents, Princes Gardens Residents Assoc) and other local interest groups so we can all work together in any legal action.

You have already helped us by signing this petition, which we are so grateful for. But if we could ask one more thing...  a donation, however big or small, to help us start this legal process as soon as possible so to halt the imminent destruction of this green space and animal habit.
