Dear All,

Thank you so much for your support! In two weeks we have had over 2,000 signatures! A wonderful achievement, and hopefully we will continue in our mission to save the gardens.

However, things have moved remarkably quickly over the last week; last Wednesday (30th Jan, 2019) Liverpool City Council granted the planning permission required to remediate the land. This means that, technically,  the first stage - destroying the trees and flattening the land - may now go ahead.

We understood that there were caveats in the contract that stated certain environmental procedures had to be carried-out and signed off before ANY work could begin, however yesterday the park was fenced off! The site manager from Willmott Dixon, then proceeded to tell us that by the end of next week/beginning of the week after, the trees will be gone.

As yet, we have not had this either confirmed or denied by the powers that be, as they refuse to answer questions with any urgency.

Therefore, SATURDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2019  - 8am-11am, we shall be staging a demonstration at Bixteth Gardens. PLEASE, if you are able to attend, come and join us! We would love to see you! It may be our last chance and we must throw all that we have at this...

Thank you again for your support.
