As Superintendent of LISD, Bruce Gearing has been pushing initiatives in our schools that not only are counter to what the community wants but also is in direct violation of the President's executive order ending critical race theory training. 

Last month Bruce Gearing pushed an agenda at the LISD school board meeting to have the dress code changed which seems innocuous but just two weeks ago he pushed another agenda to define hate speech in a way that would punish teachers and students for misuse of gender pronouns. On the 12th and 13th of October, LISD had teacher training days where the students stayed home from school while teachers were subjected to critical race theory training. 

The two day training seminar was hosted by Bruce Gearing and Dr. Anthony Muhammad who is the CEO of New Frontier Consulting 21. The training focused on "white privilege" and many other topics they deemed to be racist such as Christianity, classes for gifted students, grades and the list goes on. Not only was this training mandatory but it is inherintly racist towards students who are white. Dr. Anthony Muhammad will further be leaving one of his employees behind at LISD to help implement the training that was discussed. 

The training and policies being pushed by Dr. Bruce Gearing are not inclusive as he stated it to be but it is directly counter to the executive order by our President ending critical race theory in government institutions and it is directly counter to what the schools job is and what the parents of LISD want for their children. Screenshots and recordings of the training will be made available and I ask that we as parents and tax paying residents of Leander Texas band together to remove Bruce Gearing and replace him with a superintendent who will focus on curriculum and following the law when teaching our students.
