I started a petition on Change.org because I identified an injustice in my community- and I couldn’t stand that not enough was being done to correct it.

After launching this petition to reform the Protecting Students Act, I was contacted by a member of the Change.org team who helped me grow my support base and organize my movement!

Anybody, no matter their age can get involved in a cause they care about. Reaching out to existing causes via social media or whatever contact method they make available is a way to easily get involved in social movements or in social change actions. Otherwise, just attending events and picking up a picket sign is enough!

In the coming year, we are looking at expanding our campaign using our online platforms and getting more regions of Canada involved! As well, we are getting involved in more campaigns related to our work.

If you want to get involved in an important issue at the moment, people are currently mobilizing to keep the 2015 Sex Ed Curriculum in Ontario schools, because we can't turn back the clock 20 years with inadequate sex ed. Students should know about consent, online safety and diversity. You can join the movement to save the Ontario sex-ed curriculum here.
