We, the undersigned Iranians and supporters of freedom of expression, strongly object to any banning or restriction of the historic Iranian Sun & Lion flag inside FIFA World Cup 2026 stadiums in the United States. The Sun & Lion symbol is a historical Iranian nationality identification sign and an important part of Iran’s cultural and national heritage for millions of Iranians around the world. Displaying this flag represents national identity, historical heritage, and peaceful expression — not hate, violence, or discrimination. Banning this symbol would be discriminatory against many Iranians and contrary to the principles of freedom of speech, equal treatment, and cultural expression protected under the values of the United States and the spirit of international sports. We respectfully call on FIFA, the FIFA World Cup 2026 organizers, and U.S. stadium authorities to: Respect the freedom of peaceful expression for Iranian fans. Allow the display of the historic Sun & Lion flag in stadiums and fan areas. Apply equal and non-discriminatory standards to all nations and cultural symbols. Prevent selective censorship of Iranian historical identity symbols. Football should unite people — not silence their historical and national identity. Let Our Flag Be Seen. Let Our Voice Be Heard. متن دادخواست — فارسی دادخواست برای برابری و آزادی بیان در جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ آمریکا ما، امضاکنندگان این دادخواست، به عنوان ایرانیان و حامیان آزادی بیان، شدیداً نسبت به هرگونه ممنوعیت یا محدودیت برای نمایش پرچم تاریخی شیر و خورشید ایران در استادیوم‌های جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ فیفا در ایالات متحده آمریکا اعتراض داریم. نماد شیر و خورشید، نشان تاریخی هویت ملی ایرانیان و بخشی از میراث فرهنگی و تاریخی ایران برای میلیون‌ها ایرانی در سراسر جهان است. نمایش این پرچم بیانگر هویت ملی، میراث تاریخی، و ابراز مسالمت‌آمیز عقیده است و هیچ ارتباطی با نفرت، خشونت یا تبعیض ندارد. ممنوع کردن این نماد، اقدامی تبعیض‌آمیز علیه بسیاری از ایرانیان بوده و برخلاف اصول آزادی بیان، برابری، و آزادی ابراز هویت فرهنگی است که از ارزش‌های اساسی ایالات متحده آمریکا و روح ورزش بین‌المللی محسوب می‌شود. ما با احترام از فیفا، برگزارکنندگان جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶، و مسئولان استادیوم‌های آمریکا درخواست می‌کنیم که: به حق آزادی بیان مسالمت‌آمیز هواداران ایرانی احترام بگذارند. اجازه نمایش پرچم تاریخی شیر و خورشید را در استادیوم‌ها و محل‌های هواداری صادر کنند. استانداردهای برابر و بدون تبعیض را برای تمامی ملت‌ها و نمادهای فرهنگی اجرا کنند. از سانسور انتخابی نمادهای تاریخی هویت ایرانی جلوگیری نمایند. فوتبال باید عامل اتحاد ملت‌ها باشد، نه ابزاری برای خاموش کردن هویت تاریخی و ملی مردم. بگذارید پرچم ما دیده شود. بگذارید صدای ما شنیده شود
