LinkedIn Says Its Job Listings Are 'Authentic.' I Documented 55,308 That Were Not.
The Issue
The Issue
Nine LinkedIn company pages. Over 400 fake/ghost job listings. Roughly 48,000 followers. Zero employees. Not one of these companies exists.
I am The Profiler. I was laid off in December of 2023. Two weeks later my daughter was born. Immediately upon adding my resume to LinkedIn and using the #opentowork hashtag, I was targeted by scammers who at the time, I didn't know existed. Once I figured it out, I had a decision to make. Answer the call to decimate these scammers and their attempts to defraud real companies and people or look the other way. I answered the call.
Since January 2024 I have documented fraudulent hiring on LinkedIn full time. Across 53 closed investigative case files I have reported and gotten 55,308 fake job postings removed, 54,761 of them from LinkedIn, the other 150 fake listings were on Teal's website. Over 7,000 fake profiles removed. More than 1,000 hijacked accounts either identified, removed and/or restored to the real people they were stolen from.
I have also documented hundreds of fraudulent listings carrying LinkedIn's verification badge, posted through the hacked pages of legitimate companies. Verified, in the only sense that matters to a job seeker, and completely fake.
I have hundreds of cases as evidence. Here is one of many LinkedIn will not close.
The Talentify Shell Game
Talentify.io operates a network of hollow LinkedIn company pages. Each posts jobs scraped from real employers it has no relationship with, alongside listings for jobs that never existed. Every application funnels back to Talentify's own systems, where applicants surrender personal information to a company they never intended to contact. Nine of these pages are documented in my dossier:
- Pinnacle Method Consulting. https://www.linkedin.com/company/pinnacle-method-consulting/
- 142 fake listings.* 12,000 followers. Parked Hostinger domain. Targets project managers and scrum masters, and runs "AI Voice Quality Analyst" postings whose real function is harvesting voice samples from fluent English speakers, solving the accent problem that once limited overseas business email compromise calls.
- *The screenshot shows 103, but they later increased to 142. Scammers frequently take down and add fake jobs to evade detection.
- Resonance CX Partners. https://www.linkedin.com/company/resonance-cx-partners/
- 75 fake listings. 8,000 followers. The website does not exist and prompts a browser permission request consistent with malware installation. Converts hires into money mules who are left holding the liability when the deposits are charged back.
- Prism Data Consulting. https://www.linkedin.com/company/pinnacle-method-consulting/ (Finally deleted after several week of pressuring LinkedIn to stop ignoring the proof of the fraud)
- 50 fake listings. Applicants get a form email that does not use their name, demanding a $1 background check before any interview. The dollar is a compliance test. Training fees and equipment fees follow.
- Cyber Focus AI. https://www.linkedin.com/company/cyber-focys-ai-jobs/
- 41 fake listings. 5,000 followers. Targets information security professionals with take-home "skills tests" used to install malware or study how the target works.
- Orchestrate Consulting Group. https://www.linkedin.com/company/orchestrate-consulting-group/
- 27 listings. 6,000 followers. Second malware delivery surface, mirroring Resonance CX.
- Timeline Optimization Group (Pictured). https://www.linkedin.com/company/timeline-optimization-group/
- 21 fake listings. No website. Redundant healthcare capture page, so removing one leaves the operation running.
- CareStream Advisory Group. https://www.linkedin.com/company/carestream-advisory-group/
- 19 fake listings. The application chain terminates at yourhealthcare.co, a domain built to evoke HealthCare.gov, listing its address as the White House and its phone number as 800-555-0199, a fake number from the 2003 film The Italian Job.
- Mosaic Talent Consulting. https://www.linkedin.com/company/mosaic-hr-talent-consulting/
- 15 fake listings. Targets executive assistants and accounts payable staff, the people who control calendars, vendor records, and payments.
- Home Health Focus AI. https://www.linkedin.com/company/homehealthfocus/
- 11 fake listings. Domain does not resolve. Targets home health aides and care coordinators, a sector where applicants routinely hand over background check data, certifications, and bank details for payroll.
Every one of these pages lists zero employees and no public leadership. Every follower count was built by LinkedIn's own auto-follow mechanic, which enrolls every applicant to a fraudulent posting as a follower of the fake company. LinkedIn's feature converts its victims into the fake company's credibility.
The listing counts move constantly. The operators delete and replace postings on a rolling basis so that no single report can capture the whole inventory and no single removal can take down the page. Fighting this network is like being asked to photograph a shell game while it is running.
They Admit It in Writing
Each of these pages carries a version of the same disclaimer: "We are not a staffing firm or agency. We do not hire for these roles."
Read that again. Nine company pages, posting hundreds of jobs to hundreds of thousands of job seekers, stating on the page itself that they do not hire. The admission is sitting on LinkedIn's servers right now.
LinkedIn Already Decided This
This is not a discovery. LinkedIn already ruled on it.
In case TP-2024-008, LinkedIn removed 573 fraudulent postings attributed to Talentify.io. The platform determined the conduct violated its own User Agreement. Then it left the pages up to keep doing it.
LinkedIn has removed HireCrap, Hirenza, and Best Job Tool on dossiers materially identical to this one. The precedent is not mine. It is LinkedIn's.
Then there is FetchJobs.co. LinkedIn told me it was removed. It is still live, with 63 stolen listings at last count. A company that reported a page as gone while the page stayed up.
I filed the formal notice and demand on May 13, 2026, and followed up on May 17. The nine pages are still there.
What This Costs Real People
Resumes, Social Security numbers, and credentials harvested at scale from people who believed they were applying for real jobs. Fees extracted a dollar at a time until they become hundreds. Malware installed on personal machines. Job seekers turned into money mules who face frozen accounts, bank liability, and criminal exposure when the checks bounce and the operator is gone.
The people getting hit are not careless. They are recently laid off, new graduates, career changers, home health aides, and workers whose immigration status depends on employment. They are on the one platform they were told to trust with their professional life, and that trust is exactly what is being sold against them.

What LinkedIn Must Do
No more spin.
Remove and permanently ban the Talentify network. All eight remaining shell company pages and the principal Talentify.io page. Full deletion, not post takedowns, with ban evasion controls on the operators.
- Resolve FetchJobs.co. Either confirm the removal LinkedIn already claimed, or remove it. Now.
- Notify the victims. Every member whose application data was captured by these pages deserves to know, and every employer whose listings were stolen deserves to know.
- Verify employers before listings go live. Authenticate a posting against the company it claims to represent, before it reaches a single job seeker.
- Fix the verification badge. A badge on scam listings posted through hacked company pages is worse than no badge, because it manufactures the exact trust the fraud requires.
- Stop laundering followers. A page with zero employees and a parked domain should not accumulate 12,000 followers through LinkedIn's own mechanics.
- Work with the independent researchers already doing this for free. Build a real evidence channel with the investigators and impersonated brands who have been handing LinkedIn documented cases for years.
- Publish the real numbers. Quarterly reporting on fraudulent listings removed, median time to removal, and hijacked accounts recovered.
