For four years in a row the previous Government ignored its own scientific experts and allowed dangerous bee-killing pesticides - neonicotinoids - onto British fields. You're new in the role and in Government, please do better than your predecessors and refuse this year's application to allow neonicotinoids to be used - with no exemptions.

Why is this important?
The Government has been asked to let bee-killing pesticides on fields in England, as farmers have asked for permission to break the ban on these dangerous chemicals.

Ministers say they're looking into ways to make sure these requests don't happen again, but they're still considering it for this year. But we know these pesticides are toxic to our bees. It destroys their nervous system, and just one teaspoon of the chemical is enough to kill 1.25 billion honeybees.

Will you sign the petition and call on the Government to do the right thing? We need to drown out those telling them to ignore expert scientific advice and lift the ban.
