THE PETITION
The bees are dying and their disappearance is a threat to us!
So, yes, they can be scary, they can sting us, but above all they are
ESSENTIAL to our survival!
Recently, scientists found a bee extinction rate was 100 to 1000 times higher than normal, depending on location and species, because there are more than 25,000 different bees in the world, and that is wild bees. it's about, not just the APIS genre.
Why is this a danger?
Well, because these little creatures are the guardians of biodiversity, they are the common denominator between our two lungs, green and blue. Without them, it's not "no more food, famines, wars..." but really a dead planet deprived of its most precious asset that makes it unique until now: oxygen! But there is no business to be done on a dead planet!!!
They are at the origin of pollination, which is an essential process for the reproduction of plants… They pollinate more than 170,000 varieties of plants.
But you should also know that they are therefore essential to our diet because 84% of global food production depends on pollinating insects (source FAO).
Because of what ?
Well, as you can imagine, the main cause is human activity.
Intensive agriculture and pesticides, climate change are the main threats. Droughts, floods and disruptions to flowering seasons are catastrophic for bees.
We must act quickly, it is urgent to save the species!
How ?
We can act on our own scale by favoring organic consumption, avoiding pesticides in our vegetable gardens, leaving a small bowl of water outside in case of drought… Many solutions exist.
But governments also need to get involved. It is together that we can save the fauna and flora.
Actions must be implemented locally and internationally!
