At the 5/26 meeting we did not see any board or administration conversations about technology. That entire meeting is linked here. 2 parents made public comments, beginning at the 2 minute 45 second mark.
If you still have concerns about technology use in our schools, contact the school board TODAY at this site. Your message can be brief but we believe the input from parents is showing the board how important this is to us. Please be respectful. We need the administration to share data with the board on technology use and to discuss implementing limitations.
The board will be conducting interviews for 2 new board members. Learn more about the application process here. The deadline for applications is 6/12 at 6PM.
The next board meeting is on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7PM. Please consider making a public comment about technology at this meeting. Nearly every day there is a new article about the negative impact of technology on children. This issue has been brought up during public comment since at least April. Some parents contacted the board earlier than that but there still has not been any action on this issue. We need you to support our efforts by contacting the board, either at a board meeting or via email.
