Limit reloads/rewinds at a Drum and Bass events

The Issue

Are you fed up with poorly executed and over used reloads? The constant use of reloads can ruin the flow and create a negative energy at a rave - let's get this sorted!

I propose that we limit reloads/rewinds at a Drum and Bass event to the following conditions:

  1. There should never be more than two reloads per hour.
  2. Reloads requested by the audience should be limited to once per set.
  3. Pre-rehearsed reloads as part of the set should be limited to twice per set.
  4. No reloads should be instant and should always allow the drop to play out before being reloaded again.
  5. All reloads must be executed properly and shouldn't lead to gaps in the music: as soon as the track has been rewound to the edge it must immediately start re-playing. Gaps in music where the MC is speaking without background music is completely unacceptable.
  6. A final exceptional reload is always permitted for the last drop on the last song of the set.

If DnB isn't your thing, just think of the economy...!! Nearly 1.6 million people attended Drum and Bass music festivals in the UK in 2016 alone, because DnB is a staple of British culture. People travel from all over the world to experience an uninterrupted and joyous musical experience - don't risk harm to this industry due to tacky reloads. Sign and share this petition today!
