For me, my home is my castle. It's a place where I should have the freedom to make decisions about my property without undue interference. But this isn't currently the case. From my personal journey, I have learned that Homeowners Associations wield too much power, often imposing decisions that impact individual property without seeking or respecting homeowner's input.

Homeowner Associations (HOAs) currently oversee approximately 63 million American homes, or 24.1% of US homes, according to Community Associations Institute data. Yet, these organizations often make decisions that homeowners, like myself, feel encroach their rights and control.

This petition therefore seeks changes to the existing laws so as to limit the sweeping powers that HOAs have over individual property decisions. This is not to undermine their role in the community, but to ensure a fair balance between their community objectives and our individual homeownership rights.
