Darren Michael Soto is an American attorney and Democratic politician hailing from Kissimmee, Florida. Born on February 25, 1978, he currently serves as the U.S. Representative for Florida's 9th congressional district, a position he has held since 2017. Darren Soto boasts a strong academic background, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor (JD) from George Washington University. Prior to his tenure in the U.S. Congress, he served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012 and as a Florida State Senator from 2012 to 2016. Throughout his career, Soto has also worked as a lawyer and financial analyst, contributing his expertise to his legislative roles. He is a dedicated member of the Democratic Party.
