Justice For Brooke Jeffrey

 

 

 

 

We are seeking for change to come now and for the crossing lights on Stoneman Ave in Pittsburg, CA to be turned on. We can prevent another tragedy. Brooke Jeffrey, a beautiful, creative, and vibrant 17 year old was struck and killed March 7th when crossing the street to meet her mother after coming from dance class. She was a dancer for 12 years at Melody's Dance Studio in Antioch. She loved dancing, cooking, and so much more. The driver fleed the scene. The crosswalk lights and overhanging crossing red lights have not been turned on since installation, leaving the street dark and unsafe. The crossing sign the usually lights up showing a red hand to stop or a white walking light does not work either. We cannot let this happen to another family and we must keep our community safe. There are 4 schools and a youth development center within a 6 block radius of where the hit and run occurred. We are not only demanding justice, we are demanding the crossing lights and sign be turned on immediately. The police have yet to release any leads or details and we understand it's an investigation, but we are praying the person comes forward and is held accountable.  Please support the cause and help us keep pedestrians safe on Stoneman Ave. We do not want another family to bear this pain Brooke's family is enduring. Together we can bring change and save lives!
