Lift the Ban on the Word "Cis" on Platform X

Lift the Ban on the Word "Cis" on Platform X
The Issue
I write to you today as a concerned user of Platform X, who values freedom of expression and inclusive dialogue. In this increasingly diverse online world, language plays a crucial role in our understanding of human acceptance. An example of this can be seen in the term "cis," short for cisgender, which, according to some good humans, refers to individuals whose gender identity matches the sex they were born with, although I'm not a hundred percent sure they word it this way.
Regrettably, this term has been banned on Platform X. This is personal to me – I, like many others, want to use this term to accurately depict and discuss plainly and unequivocally what I'm trying to express and, right now, my bio description on the platform looks just hideous.
According to a report by GLAAD in 2020, 12% of millennials identify as transgender or gender non-conforming, meaning that a significant percentage of individuals may be identified as "cisgender" by such a percentage of human beings, and I want to be able to ask them to please stop calling me that, without having to resort to treacherous means, such as, but not limited to: Repurposing numbers as letters – "C1S" – ; Using anagrams – I mean, who among this percentage of people can really decipher them? And I'm not that sharp to come up with an example, either – ; or Having to use different and, potentially, longer words, thus compromising the limited space I already have to fully being able to express myself – 280 characters!!! I mean, c'mon dude, for a broke-a** pos like me?! –. Describing these experiences and dialogues surrounding them should not exclude the term "cis". Removing this necessary term from our language hampers our ability to MELIODAS' FULL COUNTER the crap out of these misguided but, deep down, good humans.
In light of this, we urge Platform X to reconsider this decision. By lifting the ban on "cis", we ensure that all users – cisgender or not – can accurately and respectfully discuss gender issues. Please, do your part in promoting equal and open conversation by signing this petition.
