Lift the ban preventing this sex abuse police officer from being named

Lift the ban preventing this sex abuse police officer from being named
The Issue
Please sign this petition to have the name of a sexually abusing Dorset police officer, whose name was banned from publication, named.
An independent legally qualified chair (LQC) named Deni Mathews of KBG Chambers has 'banned' the naming of an ex-Dorset Police Officer, suggesting it is to protect his family.
The now ex-Sergeant of Dorset police faced a misconduct panel on 3rd January 2023 and was found to have committed gross misconduct, and had he not resigned, would have been dismissed without notice.
The unnamed officer had previously been named in several only news outlets and was even named on the Dorset police website, but the LQC, Deni Matthews, imposed a ban on naming the disgraced cop.
To remind you of the sexual abuse committed by this 'trusted public official' who was in the police for 20 years. The following are facts about the disgraced sergeant
- He made inappropriate advances to three young female trainees he was supervising.
- He was disciplined by his superiors for pursuing one of the trainees in June 2021.
- He admitted having a “thing” with her.
- He was almost caught by his son kissing the young trainee in his garage.
- Just a few weeks later, he made advances towards two other trainee Officers.
- He and one of the young females swapped sexualised messages and images.
- had “phone sex” with a young female officer
- He had to be talked out of sending her an explicit photo of himself to the young female officer.
- He Engaged in a sexual act with the young female at his home after a night out.
- The young female officer was considered “vulnerable” at the time because she had made a complaint of domestic abuse against her former partner.
- As soon as another young female joined his unit, he asked for her number and sent her flirtatious messages.
- The sergeant’s behaviour towards female trainees became common knowledge among his squad at the police station.
This appears to be a man, abusing his position in the police force to target young and vulnerable females to satisfy his own sexual desires. The man could be a danger to other females and as a public servant, should be named.
There is no evidence to suggest naming him has any welfare risks to his family. His family are no different to the families of other disgraced police officers who have been named. The ban only appears to protect the sexual predator from being published and, therefore, could put other females at risk.
Please sign this petition to support the naming if this police officer who resigned from the police after his conduct was discovered and was found to have committed gross misconduct. Police need to be aware that they have no way to evade justice when they abuse the trust put in them.
