Hello everyone. Today is about Kate Anne Douglas, who sadly passed away after a truly inspirational 7-year battle with cancer on Thursday night. I didn't know her personally. But I did exchange messages with her over the time. She signed this very petition over a year ago and shared it a few times since then. Made many of her friends sign it too. In fact, this petition is the last thing she shared on her Facebook page just 10 days ago: https://www.facebook.com/kate.douglas.9847 Not only that. She shared Gemma's GoFundMe-page - at a time when she needed to raise funds for her own Immunotherapy treatment at the Hallwang Clinic. Her family and friends raised funds tirelessly. Over 300,000 Pounds over the last 18 months. She was able to visit Germany regularly. It was working. Her tumours shrank, results were amazing. But money gets spent very fast on Immunotherapy. As a result, she had to settle for traditional treatment in the UK and inevitably her cancer got worse. She needed to go back to the Hallwang Clinic quickly. But it didn't happen. Money being the reason. She had turned 40 just this week :( She leaves behind a young daughter, two step-children, her partner, her entire family and many friends. The news came as a complete shock. I simply owe this little tribute to her. Please join me in expressing our sincerest condolences to her family. Thoughts and prayers are with them and Kate's loved ones at this difficult time.
