This is a serious political proposal. Please share it with the president and congress, and friends and family. Get as many signatures as possible and make it happen. This is a plan to liberate any dictatorship with nukes at no risk to your country. 

Taiwan can finally be independent. We can liberate places like north korea, syria and china safely without risking US lives or troops on the ground and without creating instability. Nukes are not an issue. We should have done this a long time ago. Prudence dictates we eliminate the small fry like NK and Syria, depriving China of allies before taking out the big fish like China.

Thomas Jefferson once said, that if you have the ability to act , you have the reponsibility to act. People in these countries are suffering an immense lack of human rights, various injustices and leaders that kill with impunity. None of these goons deserve to be there or be in power. People have a right to choose their leaders. Much of what goes on in these countries is evil. They need liberty, and unlike Iraq, we can liberate properly with the right strategy. Iraq was a good idea done wrong. I understand that foreign wars can be unpopular, but we could have gotten far better results with the following strategy.

The people are highly oppressed and have no hope of rising up by themselves. They need our help- and it's help only America can provide. They will greet our machines as liberators and our volunteer humanitarian officers as friends. Liberation is the only compassionate, moral, righteous, merciful thing to do. It also will protect US Allies like the Phillippines, Taiwan, and South Korea. When it comes to regime change, the only challenge is coordination and communication. These are holes we can fill.

Dictatorships also are a threat to international order because, unlike democracies, they like to start wars. As an example, North Korea desperately needs to be liberated, for the sake of their people and ours. We cannot simply stand there watching while the holocaust is happening daily across the strait. No amount of internal pressure beats the rigid arm of state: hoping the regime will somehow collapse on its own wastes time and just gets people killed. It's too stable and strong. No special forces can or should penetrate. The following is the only method.

The METHOD

Day ONE: Launch a bloody nose airstrike on the dictatorship, (perhaps china or north korea), targeting empty fields or forests with the intent to cause zero deaths or casualties, and thus providing no causus belli. The point is to get attention. Then America immediately leave and announce no further military activity. That day, announce the US government's intent and willingness to help the population overthrow and replace the Syrian/Chinese/North Korean/Saudi Arabian Government. We will be clear: No troops or foreign airstrikes are coming. We need not and will not invade or put soldiers or the homeland at risk of nuclear attack. But we will still rock, shock and destroy the enemy through a combination of violence, psychological and nonviolent warfare. We will say it's up to the people of [State], and give them everything they need to make it happen, focusing on nonproliferation of donated tech.

Through our moves, the most inspirational times in history will happen.

Step One: 

Create a liberator drone that the US military can remotely disable. These drones do not have to be state-of-the art, but should be cheap and easy to mass manufacture so that concerns about reverse engineering are no longer valid. Also, this is East Asia- so there's no concern about Jihadists getting drones. Also, if the wrong people get drones we can simply turn them off via sattelite signal.

Arm the rebels and population with millions of liberator drones a month. Host a civilian nonmilitary ship off of the SK and Japanese coast open to defectors, humanitarians, volunteers and people who want to help the liberation effort. This ship would assist in piloting drones and be protected by the regular South Korean and American navy, though it would be an ordinary cruise ship and thus unassailable unlike the regular navy.

 

Then, drop propaganda leaflets and newspapers daily everywhere educating the public about current goings-on, and the battlefield, and nonviolent and armed resistance. List a declaration of grievances and promise better living conditions in the south. 

We would protect people who read these letters by announcing that once the regime inevtitably fails, those who use force against peaceful protestors and readers of pamphlets would be prosecuted and executed by the US Military. This would be stated at the top of all pamphlets dropped.

We would offer the dictator we're removing a chance at political asylum and life imprisonment on any island of his choice, or a free escape to russia before the deadline hits and he gets killed. We have drawn preemptive red lines at the killing of defecting soldiers/commanders or protesters in which case he would be hunted down and killed. We would encourage him to leave and resign many times over, with the narrative of impending doom.

We would use moral arguments on soldiers in the leaflets asking them to disobey orders to shoot fellow civilians and instead shoot the people commanding them or defect to South Korean warships. 

Leaflets' messaging would be targeted at four groups: The leader, the commanders, the ordinary soldiers and civilians. 

Message to leader: You are finished, Your country is being seized, your regime shut down and authority given back to it's rightful owners. Leave or Negotiate now before it's too late and rebels drone you.

Message to commanders: These are tricky targets. We'd blanket military bases and airfields with evolving pamphlets and language that rep. But the main point is, what's in it for you? Why obey the central government and remain loyal when rebels are armed and loyalist commanders will be regularly assassinated or drone striked? It isn't worth it- plus, siding with protesters is better not only for you, but your country. You and your fellow countrymen deserve a chance to pick the nation's highest official. You don't have to enforce orders to kill people who read pamphlets or shoot protesters. Just let it slide and break communications with the central government/go missing or declare yourselves dead and KIA if you want to leave/switch sides. Encourage soldiers to defect or do nothing. Those who do the right thing now will be rewarded, but those who do the wrong thing will be killed eventually. Also, conceal your intentions from higher-ups.

Sanctions will not be lifted until the country converts into a full democracy.

Message to Soldiers

No matter where your commander tells you to go, you're still killing and hurting innocent people who want a better life. You're killing fellow [insert country name demonym here] people. This is wrong. You deserve better. You live in one of the poorest countries in the world. Your dictator, the one you are ordered to defend is keeping you poor and getting rich off of your hardship. He's hoarding most of the money. 

You do not have to obey orders to kill innocent protesters or people reading pamphlets. Instead, refuse to fire or claim delays came up. If you have to disappear, take as many weapons as possible and give them to the public. Commanders that order you to kill innocent protesters, fellow sldiers who refuse to obey them or readers of information will be tried and killed by the US Military once the liberation effort is complete. Rebels are armed with drones. Defect, and report these commanders to the US Army so you will not be targeted and assassinated with them. Give us names and positions so their residences can be droned.

HOW TO DEFECT:

No need to put yourself in danger. But when pamphlets fall, simply ask fellow soldiers, "what do you think about these pamphlets?" After that, protect protesters by refusing to fire on them when they happen or enforce movement controls. Let the people through. Don't kill people reading pamphlets- units doing so will be excuted by the federal government. 

If you are considering defecting but don't want to say anything, light something on fire and burn down the military base or set a car/tire on fire. The smoke signal will be seen by other soldiers and give them courage to defect and speak out. Nobody wants to kill peaceful civilians. But most soldiers are too afraid to speak out or disobey higher-ups. This time this need not occur.

Who knows? If you cooperate with protestors, then you may be the one initiating by flipping a unit and secretly telling residents it's okay to protest. At these, bring a white flag of surrender or put your guns on the ground so people can march.

For civilians

Do not fire first at government officials. 

Stay safe by waiting to protest until enough people're banging pots and pans loudly. Signal your willingness to protest by doing so. Protests are scheduled for the 3rd day (or extra) after pamphlets drop, so wait until the military dissolves and liberates your town.

Include a guide about nonviolent resistance and armed conflict; How to operate drones. Drones would land every other day in peoples' backyard or on their rooftops with a liberation pack of guns, ammo and bombs along with information.

We would prevent the shelling of South Korea and Nuking of the US homeland by warning the North of our second-strike capability: We have more nukes. If they nuke us even once, we would nuke the entire country and glass everyone several times over. The message would clear: Just surrender already and disobey your idiot president, you're outgunned and you're going to lose. He's going to get you killed. If you try to fight us, you and everyone you know will be killed: It isn't worth it. All we want to do is give you a better life and real freedom. If you defect, we will welcome you as brothers. Also, why do you want to defend this type of regime?

We would offer amnesty to government officials that turn on the president and assassinate loyalist targets. 

We would declare a drone-enforced no fly zone. No planes would be allowed in the sky other than our drones. Anything else would be shot down, and a simple rfid system could prevent our drones from shooting each other. drones could also be used to deliver pamphlets as well as bombs.

We would offer trillions in investment deals, humanitarian aid and funding upon the successful transition to democracy. Money talks: People would walk away to the US if we offer them more wealth, prosperity and food. This deal would be contingent on them handing over nukes.

We would supply rebels and defecting units communications, liberator drones and satellite radios so they could talk. We'd also help the population drone strike government targets if communications got attacked. The mercy ship off the coast would provide gps coordinates of government sites to be hit.

Finally, encourage soldiers to liberate the capital themselves and depose the leader instead of risking peaceful protesters getting shot- or encourage them to switch sides or refuse to fire. 

Counter regime control of media by having a daily war newsletter and map and radio channel open and dropped onto the population daily via mass bomb and drone.

THE PLAN

Keep North Korea a separate country, but use the SK constitution as a draft to inspire the population, with us promising to let NK hold it's own constitutional convention immediately after the war to draft a better document. A referendum would be held and the public choose between unification, the new draft or old South Korean constitution edited to the NK context. We'd also seize their nuclear arsenal.

North Korean citizens would elect delegates to a new constitutional convention as soon as the president resigns.

We also would warn them of the failures of iraq and the importance of unifying under the new government to avoid post-war violence. This would undoubtedly be their revolution, so it's up to them how well it goes.

Include a long-run national strategic visionary's office in the constitution that lasts for a 32 year term to ensure the country develops properly. It would have the power to rate candidates and comment on political ballots, enforcing long-term strategic development and thinking that normal democracies cannot.

Why this would work:

We will not be nuked because we are not invading. Rather, it's an internal push to knock over the house of cards that is NK and China, Syria, and most every other non-arabic dictatorship. We also need to educate the population about why voting and democracy matter: Authoritarianism is not only dangerous, it's wrong. When the population is educated and unified, expect the regime to collapse and run to the new constitutional convention. No need for costly embroiled embodied American involvement. 

After this, use NK as a forwarding base to convert China into a democracy.

Power Conversion to stabilize the Middle East:

We also had a random idea to end most conflicts in the Middle East: Let groups turn their guns and weapons directly into political power. A peace settlement would create a bicameral house, one with one person one vote, another with one gun or gun-cost equivalent turned into authorities one vote. The consent of both would be necessary to pass legislation. Doing so is suboptimal, but it recognizes the reality of where power and violence come from while giving armed groups a proportional stake in the new government. Turn violent power into political power.

Helping China Transition:

Read prior books about chinese transitioning. Rather just use leaflet drops about democracy and the fact that the CCP could still exist and do well in elections for all who wanted it. Then use cluster drone dropships.
