Dear friends of Sea-Eye,
A quite moving mission lies behind us. Our crew succeeded in saving 130 people, including 48 minors, from death in the Mediterranean Sea and bringing them to safety.
In another particularly tragic case, a merchant ship rescued 60 people. But for four-year-old Loujin, any help came too late. She died on the way to the hospital. “Mama, I'm thirsty.” are said to have been the girl's last words. A life so young. Lost forever. We are saddened and angry.
With many crises currently unfolding simultaneously, the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the central Mediterranean is barely visible anymore. But it is still there: unchanged deadly and brutal.
Looking away is not an option for us! Unfortunately, however, the unexpectedly sharp rise in prices is putting us under enormous pressure. Therefore, as of today, the question for us is whether the next planned rescue missions can take place.
Fortunately, we have the backing of Sea-Eye Friends, who are doubling every donation on our project page at Betterplace as of now.
Help us to continue carrying out rescue missions and have your donation doubled!
Thank you very much and best regards
