Hi, I trust you're all well? Just another quick update on where things are with the petition. I've emailed various contacts at LG a link to this petition along with all of the signatures and comments (in CSV format) so they could have a read through. I actually sent the initial emails last week when it hit the 4200 mark, so it's grown by almost 50% since then. When it hits 6000 I'll resend along with adding in a few more CCs I've pulled together since the first was sent. There has been no response at all from LG on the subject (other than an automated we'll get back to you from the support email address - which by the way they haven't 5 days later ;) ). Thanks to everyone of you who have run an article on this as it really seemed to blow up last week and there's mention of it everywhere across the technology sites, blogs and Twitter and I've noticed Facebook pages popping up too around this subject (I was reading the Italian one earlier this morning from the recent comments - grazie). The comments do seem to generally be of the view you're disappointed to have invested money in a format that was dropped with no official notice of deprecation and yet content is still being released this year. The warning signs were there from other manufacturers like Samsung in early 2016 but I don't think anyone had expected LG to wipe out support just like that when it was so well received with the owners of the 2016 sets. There do seem to be a lot of people who have suddenly been out and bought 2016 TVs so that they can continue to enjoy their existing 3D content so maybe LG will take notice of a sales spike after they announced the new range. All we can do is push this and try to make everyone as aware as possible that 3D as we know it is looking to be dead and that if they want to protect their investment in legal 3D content to sign so please continue sharing and commenting about the petition - it's not like Fight Club so you're allowed to talk about it as much as you like :) It's not looking good currently with the lack of any official response but the more signatures we get the more weight this would have with any future decisions. Thanks again everyone and I'll send another update out as I have one. PS I don't know about you all but I currently have Dr Strange, Moana and Rogue One currently preordered on 3D Blu-ray and hopefully there will be more released throughout the year. If you can't buy new TVs which support the content then you can only assume the content will also begin to dry up. Best regards, Aidan
