We absolutely agree that everyone should have a voice and encourage supporters to send their comments directly to the Administration in our appeal to make the change we are advocating.  
I received feedback from several supporters (not the Administration) that a lot of people who have seen the petition misinterpreted the message and intention of the petition with their own comments.  The comments started to take over the petition’s message and they distracted many people from supporting the petition.  So for the good of making the petition successful and to be fair to all potential comments (even those that may help the cause), we have to ask supporters to express their free speech on a different platform or directly to the Administration.  We ask for your kind understanding.
