Letter To the heads of the company at Voyce-Equiti

La causa

To the heads of the company at Voyce-Equiti,

We interpreters working at Voyce, have gathered to write this letter in order to express our concern and frustration at the recent notice that has been given to all personnel where we have had our jobs taken away out of the blue and without well-founded reason.

These are the jobs of people that have worked for your company faithfully, and given a high standard professional work. Jobs that sustain our individual lives, careers, and the future of us and our families. As well as the access for non-english speaking patients to their healthcare needs, and the ability of healthcare providers to, in fact, provide their patients with the proper care and attention.

We, as professional interpreters, and as your workers, feel abandoned at uncertainty, and have been unjustly, and suddenly, deprived of our right to work.

That is why we ask for you to please sit down with us and find agreement with our chosen representatives, in order to shed a light onto all of this, and find a proper way that is satisfying of our needs, our right to work, and the needs of our clients and the company.

Our needs are:

Guarantee of the continuity of our current work positions as remote interpreters for OPI & VRI.

Guaranteed protection against punitive measures due to our participation in these demands.

To keep our same pay rates and payment methods as before even if we are to be hired through different methods or third party companies.

We will be looking forward to your response and our future meeting as we wish to find what's best for us, our clients, their patients and the company.

Thank you for your attention,

Signed,
