We now have confirmation that the New York State Department of Health is actively revoking licenses from graduates of John Patrick University—without warning, without hearings, and without any due process.
One student reported that her name was removed from the DOH license registry while she was working in the hospital. She passed her ARRT exam. She met every requirement. And yet the state simply erased her.
This isn’t an isolated incident. There are hundreds of JPU graduates currently working across New York, and the state has begun quietly dismantling their careers—one license at a time.
⚖️ What NY State Is Doing Is Unconstitutional
Let’s be clear: this is not just red tape. This is a direct violation of the Fourteenth Amendment and New York's own administrative law.
Professional licenses are protected property rights under the U.S. Constitution.
They cannot be revoked without due process: proper notice, a hearing, and a legal justification.
The DOH’s excuse of a “clerical error” doesn’t override constitutional protections.
We’ve broken it all down here:

❗ JRCERT Is a Smokescreen
The DOH is claiming that JPU grads can’t be licensed because their program isn’t JRCERT-accredited. That’s misleading and dangerous.
NY law says programs must be JRCERT or accredited by another recognized body. JPU is accredited by ACCSC, which is approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
And here’s the kicker:
There are multiple other programs in NY that are not JRCERT-accredited either—and their students are still getting licensed.

So why is JPU being singled out?
🚨 What This Means for Us
This is political. This is discriminatory. And it’s targeting students who are largely Black, Brown, immigrant, and working-class—the very people NY should be supporting, not erasing.
We cannot let this happen quietly.
