Employees of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre are fighting hard to save Mehrangir, the home of Dr. Homi J. Bhabha, fondly remembered as the 'Father of the Indian Nuclear Programme'
With Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha's sprawling bungalow, Mehrangir, located in the posh Malabar Hill area of South Mumbai, scheduled to go under the hammer on June 18, the employees of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) are fighting to save his home, along with the National Federation of Atomic Energy Employees (NFAEE) who are trying to prevent it from being auctioned.
The employees of the BARC, under the guidance of Prashant Worlikar, have started an online petition on change.org seeking to halt the auction of Mehrangir and instead have it converted into a museum.
