Most may know him as Lord D!zzy or DJ, some by his brand SCUM or simply Darrell, but we all know him to be a creative, considerate, motivational,  protective, wise artist/activist. For those who don't get why he feels so connected to the name SCUM, It stands for Society Can't Understand Me, and right now he is most definitely misunderstood and misrepresented.

On May 28th, 2021 Darrell was attacked while at his Business/Home after he already closed and locked up. A man adamant about harassing and harming Darrell appeared flashing a gun because he was told days before he wasn't welcomed to the store anymore. The man not only flashed his weapon but fired it. Darrell naturally reacted to defend his life; a right that everyone is entitled to exercise in the confines of their home or business. No one was hurt, yet Camden county wishes to charge Darrell with attempted murder without bail while the attacker runs free. This is another example of the system's failure to judge righteously; criminalizing an upright African American Man to fill up jails and prisons for monetary, malicious & racist purposes.

Above all, his children deserve to grow up receiving the unconditional love and guidance of their father. With Noah being 8 and Pheonix being 4 yrs old, these are the most impactful times to spend together yet they’re being insensibly stolen by the prosecution office. Pheonix, as young as she is, expressed how her dad being locked up is "breaking her heart". It is agonizing to know how conscious and incapacitated she is by her fathers incarceration.  It shows there's a huge void in she and Noah's life without their fun, loving, supportive, inspiring dad and leader. To them, he's a hero, a sentiment they share with tons of other kids, teens, and young adults from various communities. The last thing they need is to lose hope and connection with the one who encourages them to dream freely!

Please stand with us as a scummunity to help this loving father, husband, brother, positive role model, self owned businessman and community leader get the justice he deserves; freedom. "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution". We need intelligent, strong, sensitive black men like Darrell who focus on building up broken communities to keep inspiring growth and progression to children who have no father figures or vision in their lives. Darrell always inspires hope in the worst situations through optimism and faith, and we all need that during these times.

Choosing not to act could result in the community losing a hero, similar to the time we lost Nipsey Hussle in front of his own store. On the other hand, taking a stance in this matter to free Darrell will make you one. You will be saving children and adults from unnecessary pain, uncertainty and trauma caused by those put in position as our leaders yet have no intentions to lead us at all, let alone into greatness. Darrell belongs in the community where he thrives from its ascension but even in the midst of his greatest obstacle/fear he is staying true to his divine nature; uplifting inmates with the lowest of hope & expectations, creating S.C.U.M apparel, releasing new music, cutting hair, sharing his meals & more with those less fortunate, even with those who refuse to share with him. However, the sun can’t shine on everyone while confined in a box. While two years is long enough, let us act now instead of two decades into a sentence.  All Darrell wants is to help people and the outcome of him getting what he wants is the community getting what it deserves.
