We say... LET THEM PLAY!!!

The presumption of innocence has died in this country, and it is a sad blight on our legal system, which has now been corrupted and replaced by trial by Media and Social Media.

The concern for that reaches far broader than did some players do something or not, and out into the general legal status of claims right across the country. While not being perfect, the protection afforded to that legal premise allowed many innocent parties to not be torched and lynched before their day in court. It also allowed for proper legal proceedings to apply if they were indeed guilty of something.

By firstly naming and shaming the supposed "perpetrators" while protecting at this stage what is only an "alleged" victim or victims, we move our legal system immediately into the status of being a persecutor, not a blind arbiter of the law. An incredibly dangerous precedent has just been set on a very public stage. If indeed the players are proven to be not guilty of anything other than a night out, will the same parties that have accused them so readily, also then issue statements acknowledging that they are now indeed the VICTIMS? Probably not, they will just run on to the next issue that needs mud thrown at it.

You can say all you like about what may or may not happen, but organisations are now acting reflexively to news without much substance, rhyme or reason behind why they do it. And the legal system is doing nothing to protect the ideals that made it so strong.

The media has been disgraceful through this process, essentially calling for the public lynching of these players before any basic facts have become known. Many outlets have been happy to run with half-backed stories and wrong information simply for the purpose of being "first to the story". No recompense when they have been wrong, which is multiple times throughout this process.

It is becoming clearer that these players have become the subject of a modern-day "witch hunt", and we are calling upon the community to support this petition to reinstate the players, and allow them to play immediately upon the presumption of innocence.

As we said earlier, the broader issue this creates where people are now being viewed as "guilty before innocent" is tearing at this country on a wider viewpoint, and we MUST take a stand against the WOKE lynch mobs and abhorrent media who so willingly play along.
