Let's unite to end racism in Canada!
The Issue
Dear Government of Canada,
We, the undersigned, believe that the color coded and the political racial hierarchy are causing racialized groups to be disproportionately represented in sectors of the economy where precarious employment is a significant feature. We ask the government to pass laws that make Canada a more inclusive fair country for all.
We hope to influence decision makers to support our solution to social, cultural and psychological issues of the marginalized Canadian. We hope our solution will bring all marginalized communities together, amplify their voices and change Canada's hidden racist view.
1. Unemployment and underemployment, underutilization of the minority professionals, training and services, Insufficient community cooperation, absence of adequate emotional support, inadequate access to services and information, inadequate orientation and language training for newcomers, and low self-esteem as a result of racism, lack of resources, lack of government's commitment to multiculturalism are main problems that we want to provide solutions.
2. We need government support in creating the first national social network of marginalized Canadians, catered to serve marginalized Canadians.
3. We need government support in fair and transparent distribution of all opportunities and resources through our network to all marginalized Canadians. Data generated through our network will give the government constant access to monitor and adjust resources.
4. We are asking to reserve a fair percentage of resources and career opportunities for marginalized groups in the private and public sectors.
5. We are asking to reserve advancement and leadership opportunities for qualified professionals of marginalized groups in the private and public sectors.
6. We would like to be recognized as a central official minority network to audit the implementation of government programs. This will help the government monitor all activities and make necessary adjustments.
