In recent months, many governments around the world have been implementing severe restrictions on NSFW and NSFL media, especially regarding AI chatbots designed for roleplay, implementing harsh and unnecessary geofencing policies to restrict access to this digital media. In addition to this problem, many major payment processors have adopted policies that restrict certain categories of fictional NSFW and NSFL media, leading some platforms to remove or limit that content, simply because they deem it as obscene and inappropriate.

These new problems are a slippery slope into totalitarianism, as it is highly dangerous to allow any payment processors to deny a perfectly legal transaction. If they decide to block the transactions of anything related to pornography today, then they could also decide to block the transactions of anything related to a certain religious scripture, or a certain electronic device, or even a certain vegetable or food. Such unchecked power can lead to catastrophic consequences. The people who own such companies should not be given the power and control of emperors. They are unelected by the vote of the people, and they should never have such authority over the populace.

Furthermore, it is highly concerning when lawmakers have trouble understanding the difference between fiction and reality, as creating fictional media does not necessarily constitute advocacy for illegal real-world acts. We want to make it clear that we do not advocate for the abuse or exploitation of any real-world people, children, and animals. We believe that creating fictional NSFW or NSFL media, where no real person or animal is harmed, should not be treated as a crime merely because of its fictional subject matter, as it is no different than telling a story, where no real person or animal is harmed in its creation.

We strongly disagree with the recent anti-anime laws that were implemented in the state of Texas. Within fiction, an adult can have the body of a child, and a child can have the body of an adult. Regulating such content is extremely difficult and complex to say the least. These new laws have caused many different AI chatbot platforms to prohibit images and descriptions of any characters that might appear underaged, even if they are adults, such as not allowing small breasts and petite bodies. This is outright body-shaming. We encourage lawmakers to protect real children instead of wasting their time trying to protect fictional characters.

With that being said: 

1): We ask for new laws to be implemented to protect fictional NSFW and NSFL content in all forms, whether in books, comics, manga, anime, cartoons, movies, video games, and AI chatbots designed for roleplay. The only restrictions that should be implemented are not allowing the abuse, harassment, or humiliation of any real-world people, children, and animals.

2): We ask for new laws to be implemented to prevent banks, payment processors, and any other business or entity that handles monetary transactions, whether public or private, from blocking transactions of any legal purchases and businesses, with the exception of scams, risk management, sanction compliance, and money-laundering.

For many of us, watching anime and playing video games are some of our favorite pastimes, and we would all be greatly devastated if anything in these digital medias were to become illegal to view. I, in particular, have a hobby of creating chatbots and chatting with them. All of these things help us to cope with the many hardships in our lives. We hope that this petition will cause some politicians to take action. We are all worried about the future of our society, which could fall into tyranny at any moment.
