We have had exposure in 3 local papers in the last month and most recently the Weekly Times (see attached). We have had a lot of support from locals who are beginning to start to connect the dots regarding commercial netting and fish stocks as well as the need for recreational anglers to reduce bag limits and changes to size of fish. From review of available data it would seem that the Lakes fishery is in crisis and has been for sometime. A decline in the fishery and a call to ban netting arose in the mid 1980's sadly it was not taken seriously. Join our campaign and lets not only get rid of commercial nets but lets make the Gippsland Lakes healthy again. We are starting a fund raising campaign to pay for PR media assistance.
