In February 2022 Russia illegally invaded a neighboring sovereign nation (Ukraine). Australia, along with most countries, actively decried Russias actions and have provided support to Ukraine. To date, this has not prevented many counts of genocide, including massacres of civilians, rape of women and children and kidnapping of children.

During the Winter Ukraine has defended against the Russian aggressor, using equipment supplied by the West (including Australia). The winter conditions have made it difficult, near impossible, for the defenders to move soldiers and equipment.

The Bushmaster, a welcome donation from Australia, has been used during this period to save Ukrainian lives, both military and civilian. It has been used to move troops, equipment, supplies and has even been used as an ambulance.

As we enter the Spring, the widely anticipated Spring Offensive is likely to be launched by Ukraine to reclaim its lands and bring this war to an end. It is now that all supporting nations should “Double Down” and supply whatever equipment is needed to bring this to a swift conclusion.

Supporters of Ukraine would now request the Australian government to continue their support, and provide the Hawkei system to be used in theatre for the spring offensive.

All proud Australians support the action of our government in providing equipment to Ukraine which has enabled them to defend their sovereign land from an aggressor who has been recognized, by many, as a terrorist state. Ukraine have the democratic right to self determination, and we request Australia’s enhancement of its military support to enable Ukrainians to fight for this.
