Unfortunately we live in a world where those with visual impairments can't independently order at restaurants. This breach of our human rights can be demoralising and embarrassing. Large print menus will benefit older people, those whose eyesight is fading and the visually impaired who have been suffering in silence for too long. 

We at the Youth Advisory Council, a group of visually impaired students, aim to get large print and braille menus into all restaurants and raise awareness about this neglected issue which breaches the disability discrimination act.
