Let’s Fix Parking at Royal Oldham Hospital

Let’s Fix Parking at Royal Oldham Hospital
The Issue
Parking at Royal Oldham Hospital should never add to the stress of being unwell, caring for a loved one, or working a life-saving shift. Yet every week, patients are missing appointments, families are circling the car park in distress and NHS staff are returning to parking fines after 12-hour shifts.
That is why we have launched a major campaign calling for urgent improvements to parking at Royal Oldham Hospital. This campaign is backed by growing public frustration and a clear call for action.
What We Are Campaigning For:
- A multi-storey car park or expanded facility to increase capacity
- Dedicated parking opposite A&E for emergency patients
- Affordable and fair parking for patients, visitors and NHS staff
- Improved access for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs
I have written to Oldham’s three MPs – Debbie Abrahams, Jim McMahon and Lucy Powell – urging them to lobby the Government and support a long-term solution.
This is not just about convenience.
It’s about safety. It’s about dignity. It’s about fairness.
Royal Oldham Hospital has led the world before, it gave us the first ever NHS IVF baby. Now it’s time to lead again and provide the modern parking facilities our community deserves.
