The undersigned are writing to the AM2 Board so that it seriously reconsiders changing the tiles currently intended to be placed  in the main lobby area. 

As it is, the elevators, which have the same tiles that are planned for the main lobby, are constantly dirty because those white tiles are nearly impossible to keep clean in areas of heavy traffic. If we don’t change course now, we will have a renovated lobby that is impossible for maintenance and janitorial staff to keep clean. 

Additionally, the lobby is the first area to welcome visitors; our building is of Mediterranean style and the white tiles picked out do not reflect this type of architecture.  Indeed, it clashes with it. The lobby is the face of Aventura Marina II.  If the Board takes a look at the AMI lobby, their well thought out renovations used tiles much more in line with the architectural design while  at the same time giving the space a more modern look.   

Reflect on this: it is much wiser to buy different tiles now than to install those white  ones and then regret it for years to come. The tear down of tiles and installation  (labor portion ) is the most expensive part of this process. It would be a very serious mistake to have to deal with replacing them later.  We still have time to change course and avoid making a big mistake in judgment.  The elevators have already proven the lack of practicality of these white tiles. 

We, the owners demand that the Board reflects on this terrible decision  now before making an even worse one soon.   Let’s fix it before it’s too late.”
