Our Big Idea
We have an awesome idea to save TikTok! How about we let all the people who love TikTok and the people who work there buy it together? This way, TikTok can stay, and everyone can enjoy it safely!

How Can We Do This?
We can make a special group called an SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle). This is just a fancy way of saying a special piggy bank where everyone puts their money together to buy TikTok. Here’s how it works:

Everyone Puts Money Together: 

We invite all the people who love TikTok and want to help save it to put in some money.
We Buy TikTok: We use the money from the special piggy bank to buy TikTok from the company in China.
TikTok Stays in the U.S.: Now, TikTok will be owned by people in the U.S. and will follow all the safety rules here.
Why Is This a Good Idea? For TikTok Creators We Keep Having Fun and using the platform, except now we own it.  You can keep making and watching videos without worrying.
Better Privacy and Compensation: We will make sure all your data is safe and private and as owners we can solve the problem of compensation.
For Workers
Job Security: The 4000 - 70000 people who work at TikTok in the U.S. can keep their jobs.
New Bosses: The people who use TikTok and the workers will be the new bosses!
For Everyone
Safe and Sound: With U.S. rules, everyone will be safe using TikTok.
More Control: We can make TikTok even better with ideas from the people who use it every day!

Money
With signatures we can create the Special Purpose Vehicle to buy TikTok. Your individual investment can be held in escrow and given back to you if it does not succeed.

TikTok is worth a lot—up to $268 billion! But don’t worry, with so many people who love TikTok, we can all chip in and make it happen.

Approval
We need a thumbs up from:

U.S. Government: They need to agree that our plan keeps everyone safe.
Chinese Government: They need to agree to sell TikTok to us. The Founder and The companies that privately own TikTok to sell it to the US employees.

We need to make sure enough people join our special piggy bank to have enough money to buy TikTok.

Getting Approval
Both the U.S. and Chinese governments need to say yes to our plan. We will work hard to make sure they see how good our idea is!
