The Issue

Rhiana Kemplin should be graduating with her class.

She was a dedicated Agua Fria High School student, a proud member of the Band of Owls, and an amazing friend to many. She worked hard, loved music, and was looking forward to her future, including college.

Tragically, Rhiana passed away last November.

Her family was told she would be honored at graduation with a chair, a simple way to recognize her place in the graduating class. That promise has now been taken away. They are also being told there can be no mention of her, no photos, and no visible way to honor her during the ceremony.

Her family is not asking for special treatment. They are asking for one chair, with her photo, so they can celebrate her alongside her classmates.

That’s it.

A single chair will not take away from any student. But denying it takes everything away from a family who just wants to see their loved one included in the moment she worked so hard for.

This is about compassion. This is about dignity. This is about doing what’s right.

Please sign and share to urge Agua Fria High School to reconsider.

Let Rhiana be honored. Let her be remembered. Let her have her seat.
