Ashland high school students respectfully ask AHS administration to leave the heart memorial for Tola and Gigi under the tree in the quad until the end of the year. We students need a place to quietly remember our friends and classmates. Removing the memorial so rapidly is a dismissal of the space we created to honor and remember. We ask that it be left until the end of the school year. We don’t have another place to safely grieve, the heart memorial is a healthy space to be together.
