The Issue

My name is Brittannie Chaz Jimenez, and I’m pleading for help to bring my husband, Mitchell Andrey Jimenez Alvarez, home where he belongs. We were recently married, and we are doing everything legally required to get his immigration paperwork in order — but he’s being held by ICE, and his deportation hearing is scheduled for May 13, 2025.

Mitchell has lived in the United States since he was just 3 years old. This country is all he knows. He has built a life here as a loving husband and father. We have a beautiful 1½-year-old daughter — a Christmas baby, born on Christmas morning — and Mitchell is the center of her world. He also adores my 12-year-old daughter and loves her as his own.

The thought of losing him is unbearable. Our family is being torn apart. Our children are suffering emotionally, and I feel powerless to protect them from this pain. Mitchell is more than my husband — he is my best friend, my strength, and the heart of our home. His absence leaves a hole that no one else can fill.

I was born in Georgia. As a U.S. citizen, I have already begun the legal process to help Mitchell become a permanent resident. He has a clear path to legal status — he just needs the chance to stay and complete that process surrounded by the people who love and need him.

Please sign and share this petition to support Mitchell’s release from detention and stop his deportation. Help us keep our family whole and give him the opportunity to stay in the only country he’s ever known — with the people who love him more than words can ever express.
