Our Rink seems to be slowly responding. We were told there would be a meeting between concerned parents and the rink owner! We were really hopeful to get some answers but less than 24 hours later, this meeting was canceled and no reason given.

Instead, a short email was released that states that the parking lot will be OPEN ONLY during WEEKDAYS for now. The powers that be are still trying to come up with a plan for the weekends. Masks or face coverings are going to be required on property unless you are inside a vehicle. This is a start, but there are still many concerns about transparency and future plans. Since we have yet to receive an official statement from our rink owners and managers, we remain hesitant but hopeful!

We have heard back from district council people, county executives, neighboring communities and many concerned hockey families. We appreciate every single ounce of support, every share and every signature.With continued support we can remain hopeful for some appropriate measures that both comply with the health department's protocols while keeping our children safe and playing hockey.
