I am starting this petition as a parent of two girls who attend waterhead academy Oldham. Waterhead have recently released a newsletter stating the new proposed policy of not allowing girls to wear skirts from September 2023. I with many others feel that this is an inappropriate step for a school to take given the population of young girls choosing to wear skirts. We believe every girl should have the right to wear clothes manufactured for their gender. My daughters have worn skirts throughout all their school life as have many others and now are in their last few years they want to stop that. Please sign this petition to let girls be girls.
