The 2023 Australian of the Year Award winners are announced in January, yet nominations have already closed. This means Nedd can't be considered for Australian of the Year until 2024 which just doesn't feel right given all that he has achieved this year.

Nedd captured the hearts and minds of Australians when he became the fastest ever Aussie to run from Perth to Sydney, in a time of 46 days and 12 hours.  

At 23 years of age, his incredible running feat has been matched by his amazing fundraising results, with Australia donating over $1.8 million (and still climbing!!) to support homeless charity We are Mobilise.
