Chevening has decided to exclude prospective applicants from Afghanistan for the year 2023-2024.

While the country is going through one of the hardest periods in its history, it is more downhearted to see the windows of opportunities are closed to the face of its vibrant youth.

Many applicants have been working hard to hone their applications for this year’s program. They were impatiently waiting for this year’s application process to begin and submit their applications. However, Chevening’s decision of not allowing them to be included is heart-wrenching. 

 Young girls and boys in Afghanistan are tirelessly fighting to protect their fundamental rights curtailed by the medieval rule of the Taliban. Their only hope is the international community and seeing that Chevening is abandoning them is just devastating. 

There are other countries in war as well, but only Afghans are excluded.

Afghan students do deserve your support and care now, please help them to fulfill their dreams as no one shall be deprived of the right to education.
