Please help Ecuador to stop Chinese fleet that are stilling our Marine Reserve.
Overfishing in high seas near the Galapagos is endangering the unique species that thrive there. Yet there is little Ecuador can do to stop foreign fleets from ransacking its stock of marine wildlife. No laws regulate fishing in international waters. The ships use bait to lure sharks out of Ecuadorian waters and then catch as many as they can.

Patrols are trying to ensure the fleet - which is made up of around 260 vessels - does not enter the delicate eco-system from international waters.

Chinese vessels travel to the region each year in search of marine species. In 2017  they were caught With 300 pounds of sharks. 

The Galapagos Marine Reserve boasts large numbers of shark species, including endangered whale and hammerheads.

The Galapagos Islands are a Unesco World Heritage site renowned worldwide for their unique array of plants and wildlife.

Charles Darwin made observations critical to his theory of evolution on the islands. 

It is a reality that Chinese nationals use deceptive tactics to get what they want, I think that they, the Chinese,  won’t allow other country to do to them what they are doing in Ecuador: steal and steal with impunity.
That is happening for years, but it has been proven that alone we can not fight back. 

You have the voice and the power to help us to denounce that practice and try to stop it.
