Stop the madness of direct mailing of catalogs and advertising flyers!  Everyone has experienced the flood of catalogs and promotional flyers in their mailboxes. Most of those advertisements go directly into the recycling bin, without their intended purpose of having been read. Consider the resources that are wasted in the production and delivery of those catalogs - the trees cut down for making the paper products, the fuel needed in production and transportation, and the human efforts in the entire supply chain.  

Please sign this petition to let our legislators know that we want laws in place that regulate the promotional mail that is delivered to our physical mailboxes.  What exists today is strictly an "OPT OUT" situation which makes it impossible for individuals to manage the flood of catalogs and flyers.  We propose that legislation is needed for individuals to"OPT IN" for promotional mailing, thus limiting the waste of our national resources.
