Legalize the Use of Accessory Lights on Roads

Legalize the Use of Accessory Lights on Roads
The Issue
I, like many others, have things I love and enjoy doing. One of my passions happens to be building my truck and using long lights at night to not only showcase my build but also enhance my confidence as a driver. More than just aesthetics, the use of accessory lights can improve safety by making us more visible and illuminating the road around us.
Truck customization and the use of accessory lights are not uncommon practices. According to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the automotive aftermarket industry was valued at $46.2 billion in 2020. With a significant number of these aftermarket upgrades being light accessories, it's clear that this is an area of widespread interest and relevance.
Nevertheless, in St. George, UT, USA, and indeed across many other places, the use of such lights on roads is prohibited. We believe that, with the right regulation, we can ensure the appropriate and safe use of accessory lights, creating an improved driving environment for all road users. Together, we can push for legislation that allows for the legal use of accessory lights.
We need your signature to bring this to the attention of the relevant authorities and to drive change in how accessory lights are viewed and legislated for. Please sign this petition so that every passionate truck builder and driver in St. George can continue their hobby with confidence and contribute to safer roads for everyone.
