My family and I have always cherished the dream of keeping pet goats. This is a sentiment shared by many families in our town of Turtle Lake, WI. However, current regulations prevent us from achieving this dream. 

Goats are not just pets; they are part of a sustainable lifestyle. They provide milk and cheese, control weeds naturally without the use of harmful pesticides, and their manure can be used as an excellent organic fertilizer for gardens. According to the American Goat Society (AGS), goats are also known to have therapeutic benefits and can contribute positively to mental health.

Despite these benefits, our town's current laws do not permit keeping pet goats within city limits. This is a missed opportunity for promoting sustainable living practices among residents.

We urge our local government officials to reconsider these regulations and allow families like ours to keep pet goats in Turtle Lake. By signing this petition, you're supporting not only us but also a greener future for our community.
